Have you been shown where to place the traps? I put them down the molehill itself and had no luck until a local farmer put me right. He said I should get a long stick and prod the ground quite deeply around the molehill until I felt the stick break through into the actual tunnel. Then dig down and put the trap in the tunnel.
I also tried the humane ultrasound one - rather than scare them away it seemed to attract them all to come and find out what the noise was!
Last year I was so fed up I got the local mole man out, he got rid of them and they haven't been back. £60 well spent!
