Hi, if anyone feeds this would you mind seeing if it tells you what the ingredients are on the bag and letting me know? Or if there are no ingredients would you mind letting me have an address or tel no for mollichaff if there is one on the bag. I can't find any details on the internet and am wanting to find out what the ingredients are and see if it is preservative-free. The only preservative-free chaff I have found so far is baileys golden chaff but I can't get hold of that locally. Thanks Lucyx
 
Thank you both. Have e-mailed horsehage so will see if I get a response. Just in case I don't hear if someone does have a bag and the ingredients are on it I'd be really grateful if you could let me know. I didn't realise all chaffs were preservative-free, would still like the ingredients though as I'm really fussy about what I and my horse eat!x
 
My horse has a kidney problem and is allergic to protein, sugar, alfalfa and garlic.

I feed original mollichaf and swear by it.

I could give you the ingredients for original flavour if that is any help? I have a bag sitting in my garage.
 
This is the list of ingredients from the white label:

Wheat Straw, Cane Molasses, Calcium Carbonate, Apple and Apple flavouring.
Permitted preservatives from a blend of propionic, acetic, sorbic and phosphoric acid,

Hi,thanks very much for that, it was very helpful. I received a reply from marksway with the ingredients but they had missed out the preservatives!! Saying that I'm unsure if preservatives in horsey feed are the same as what we would eat. I always avoid preservatives for myself so thought I'd try to go preservative-free for my horse to but maybe they are not the same as what we would eat. If anyone knows about this I'd be very grateful! Merry Christmas!x
