Apologies, I haven't had time to search the forum for similar questions and am off to the feed merchants soon, so thought this might be quickest.
How good is mollichaff calmer? I have a hot, sharp little horse, especially when the grass is good. He is currently in at night on happy hoof, hay and strip grazed during the day (grass is rather too good quality for his needs at this time of year). I looked at the analysis and they look on a par regarding protein and energy, but the calmer has extra 'bits'. I wondered if it is worth making the swap or if it makes little difference? He is already on equine america pro kalm which i thought i could drop if I go onto calming chaff.
I have had him on the same feed for 3 years, my belief is that it is the change in grass this season that has made him bubble over a little so I am trying to combat that as well.
