Molly and Donut - pix

Just a couple of pix of Molly and Donut, the Christmas Day Deadline rescue ponies. This was the Yeovil end of the 150 mile trip from S Wales! If you look very, very carefully at the plump (cuddly?) woman standing with the ponies, you'll see she has a Box_Of_Frogs sweatshirt on! Molly is the 15 yr old black mare and Donut the 5yr old gelding. Both look like butter wouldn't melt but a) Molly reared all her 9hh in a terrifying (yeah!) temper display coz she didn't want to get on the trailer and b) Donut is lightning fast on open stable doors!!! They are safe now for the rest of their lives. Thankyou VictoriaEDT for posting about them xxx

Fantastic - i thought i recognised those stables! Give them a few months to really settle and they will be different ponies........they have had a hard life and need a bit of love and security. Well done you, not me!

Vicster - very very happy with them. Molly already has a show name: Good Golly Miss Molly (eeep - shows MY era) and she's going to an in-hand show in April. Donut has been taken on by another livery on my yard and he is going to be broken to harness! They are both sweethearts and share the same stable. They're a bit timid at the moment but I think that's just due to being in the "uncherished" category and we'll soon have that sorted. I learnt so much from Angel and I wanted to help another little ned - I had a little space in my heart and Molly fits it exactly. Thanks again V - it takes a team to rescue horses xxx
