Always wish I'd had a hat-cam for the occasion when an ex-professional Groom who's last job had been working for one of the Big Name Olympians rode my old lad (contrary cob)and I was behind on my other horse.

Just on a hack. Long story but she'd rented a property that my family owned and when we'd got chatting and I'd realised she "rode", had accepted my invite for a trot round the block - I had no idea prior to this exactly who she was!!

She made him look absolutely fantastic, cantering away in front. Sadly he's no longer with us. Wish I'd had a hat-cam for that. Just amazing.

Last year I had a jumping lesson on a relatively small pony from my RS. Pony has a massive jump when motivated. On this occasion she took off before the ground pole and cleared the pole and the jump. Unfortunately (for me) crazy pony landed and stopped and I didn't. I did, however, do a remarkable forward roll to stand up on landing. I would have liked video footage of the jump (and edited out the post landing bit). :D

Oldie mare yesterday..as soon as she was turned out trotted then cantered perfect 20m circles ..head and neck in perfect self carriage..Flickey toed feet and tail held out..she was shining in the sun like a conker and my heart nearly broke with love for the curmudgeonly old git who used to love competing and pony parties. I did feel differently when I brought the mud monster in at the end of the day mind🤣

Years ago, when I was about 12, I went on a hack on a little pony with adults from the same riding school who were all on horses. We used to canter up a hill, one at a time to reduce racing etc. I was last and the instructor said I may as well go because my pony wouldn't catch up the horse that had just gone. Well this little pony just flew! He overtook everyone as if they were at a standstill! I absolutely loved it because he was totally safe and just having the time of his life. I was covered in mud afterwards.

I would like video of the idiot jumping the 1.40m arena gate, not for me as I can replay it in my nightmares any time, but for others to enjoy.

Me losing my mind yesterday and trying to physically lift said idiot onto the horse box a leg at a time while doubled up with laughter would also have made a good entry on the Wall of Failure.

I wish (or maybe not) someone had a camera on them at Exmoor Camp at Somerford, when I attempted to get Dave to go in the river on the farm ride.
"No Mam, I can't possibly go in the water, even though all the other ponies are."
Lots of leg, lots of chivvying, "Yes Dave, you CAN go in the water"
"OH WELL IF I MUST!" as he stag leaps in & I go straight over his head & land right on my arse up to my boobs in freezing cold river.

It's a lovely ride back to the pavillion with water in your boots, pants, gloves, bra.....
