monarch dressage saddle

I have one for my youngster who is proving difficult to fit and it looks like this one won't work either :( It is a lovely saddle to ride in though. What sort of shape is yours? Mine is a friesian x tb, has huge friesian shoulders and quite a flat back that is slopey like a tb's, I think the tree shape is wrong for her.

mine is 3/4 tb 1/4 id. He has high withers again huge shoulders he narrows at the towards the bace of his wither, but has a wide back were the panels of the saddle sit. To find somthing that fits him at the front as well as the back has proved impossible. Hope this one works out x

We have one too, for our Freisian x Hackney! Love it super secure, great price and adjustable! She has huge shoulders and a straighter back than most, the Bates GP we had was like a banana on her once she'd matured!

Thanks, I'm hoping it can be sorted out because it really is a lovely saddle. The gullet I have in now is slightly too wide for her, not so much that it's dropping the pommel or creating pressure at the top but I'm hoping that is the reason why it is lifting a little at the back. The gullet below that one is too narrow though, too tight around her shoulder and then slips forwards in canter. She's a sensitive mare though so is being very tricky!

Ahh I feel your pain. Been trying to find a saddle since september. Hes been through a few but nothing has really fitted him. His last dressage saddle was a sue carson he had it over a year eventually he had an abcess in his hind foot and when I eventually came to put the saddle back on he said no way. Id had no idea up to that point he was just putting up with it. This saddle fitter has been very patient x

You need to correct the lift at the back, are you at least padding it at the front to stop it lifting? A flocking adjustment may do it, but otherwise it can be a tree shape issue when one width is too narrow and the next one up allows the back of the saddle to lift.

I know, I am going to try padding it at the front once my front riser arrives but I'm not riding in it anyway so no need to worry :) the lifting is very small and did stop when I tried padding it up with some sponge just to try. I think she is just between sizes with the gullets because when you actually put them on her without the saddle you can see that the lower one is too narrow and the wider has extra space.
