Monet,s Garden treated with homeopathy

I would just like to clear one thing up, I do not use homeopathy willy nilly,I use the homeopathic vet only by being referred by my usual vet when he thinks this form of treatment may be appropriate!

:D I thought that was you :o thanks :)

Particulary bees, in light of the popuation issues and all that  Couldn't they make it out of wasps - nobody likes them

No idea what this stuff is or even what it is alleged to do but if it was made out of crushed wasps I'd be using it ;-).

JFTD that insult at you was appalling and very untrue. Shocking how people behave who are incapable of having an adult discussion.

I might start marketing some crushed wasp gel, I think it would be popular - just to get back at wasps :D

As for the insults, well this is NL :D You expect a certain amount of animosity if you hang around in here x ;)

However, I am all for homeopathic warfare. :D

Isn't that just another name for a water fight?

1. I hate wasps, I am allergic to them, should I try a homeopathic remedy next time rather than my epipen?

2. An 'open mind' does not require one to believe claims that are both theoretically implausible and practically disproven time and time again. An open mind has to be open to reason and reason says that if something sounds like rubbish and has no effect other than placebo then it is rubbish.

3. The problem with desperately ill people paying money for water is that some unscrupulous 'practitioner' is making money out of it. It's a con that takes advantage of the vulnerable.

4. In the majority of cases mastitis disappears on its own, the best thing you can do is to keep breast feeding (it hurts like hell but like any plumbing blockage it can get unblocked all by itself). Infected lumps can be re-absorbed by the body. Testing treatments on conditions that go into spontaneous remission, that are already treated conventionally, on individual test subjects, with no double blind procedures and no control group does not constitute evidence!

Wasps!

There are very good for people with allottments as they eat insects that eat plants, as with everything in this world they have their place :)

Apis mel has to have bees in, otherwise it would need to change its name ;)

(I would never use that btw, I was a member of the beekeepers association as one point  )

Horse lovers, your messageboard posts have been invaded by skeptics/denialists. These people REFUSE POINT BLANK to EVER read any evidence whatsoever nor to even take the time and effort to understand homeopathy. They insist that no studies have ever been conducted for homeopathy when there have been at least 1500. Whatever you tell them they are determined to disagree.
They have seen the thread about homeopathic medicines for horses on the 'Google Alert for Homeopathy' and a few of them have infiltrated this Forum to do everything in their power to close down the conversation.

The homeopathic practitioners of Britain, including the homeopathic vets, have long and tiresome experience of this. There are large and organised group esp. in the UK with very active organisations to debunk all alternative medicine such as Sense About Science. Last year a new one, the Nightingale Collaboration, campaigned by attacking each natural health therapy in turn, month by month, starting with homeopathy.

So please find out for yourself and don't take any notice of these denialists. Homeopathy works really well on all animals, even better than it does on humans. It has been going for 250 years and homeopaths do a four year training, though it takes about 10 years to be really good, as there is a huge amount of studying.

For more info see: www.homeopathyheals.me.uk

Do not welcome debate on the topic of homeopathy

I also object to your suggestion that length of training gives an indication as to how competent a person is.

Forgive my typing but i am on my phone.

I'm pretty sure that I have been a regular poster for over three years and have made over 6000 posts. Not all, or even most, are about homeopathy. How exactly have I infiltrated this forum to close down the conversation?

And there have been lots of studies about homeopathy. No one has said there hasn't. They all say the same thing. Homeopathy fails to out perform placebo in any reasonably constructed study

Utter tosh! You are making some fairly far fetched statements there, which are completely untrue

I have been a member of HHO for a fair while, as you will see with over 5000 posts  I have no knowledge about this militant group of anti homeopaths although they sound jolly fun :D

I have never said there are no studies on homeopathy, there have been lots, and all of the scientifically valid ones have shown that THERE IS NO EFFECT ABOVE PLACEBO. I have linked to several of these peer reviewed studies in this thread and others. It is obviously you who is unable to read and comprehend what is written.

Thank you for the laugh though :D

Sheep! I just said all that! :D

rhino, I think we ought to track down these anti homeopathy militants and offer our services. They sound great! I also love the idea there is some kind of google alert so homeopathists can be warned when the antis are out!

Baaa

I'm just wondering how you infiltrate a forum anyway, don't you just sign in and then post?

Let me see, there's you and martlin with over 6000 posts
Me with over 5000
JFTD with nearly 4000
and quite a few others

And then there's Louise with, erm, 2. Both on here. So just who has 'infiltrated' HHO specifically for this thread?
