Money aside, who is living their dream?

I am!

Well... I would if I wasn't all bleeding and being tomatoheaded everywhere...

I have just set up my own business doing liveries, a riding school, and training horses for RDA work.

Even though I never have any money to do things like go on holiday, I have the greatest friends (four legged) anyone could ask for, and the way they whinny and come cantering over when I call makes me happier than all the beaches in Thailand ever could. I can also honestly say that I've helped to change people's lives by teaching them to ride - in particular a little boy who was told he'd never sit up by himself let alone walk, and four years after having his first lesson, he now walks on crutches (and I sob every time I see him!)

Staarzan that's lovely. I thin k you deserve FF to complete your life.

I am! :)

I have three beautiful horses. We have recently moved to a house with land (which has always been my dream!) and have the little pony at home now (with a companion for now). Will be moving my boys home in the Spring, and hopefully having stables built in the summer ready for next winter! I work with horses and love it, so get to spend all day everyday with horses. Got some good friend and a wonderful family, so I'm very happy! :)

Money aside? yep im living my dream!

I wake up every morning to trip over 3 cats that were all rescued, take 5 rescued dogs for a mile long walk to the river only seeing the landlords cattle and the dealers ponies.:p the chickens roam free and lay gorgeous eggs!
My 3 ponies are in safe lush(maybe too lush??) grazing.
I have access to 12 stables if ever I need them! an outdoor school(sadly frozen at moment!):)
I have my own car, lovely cottage, friends, family and peace of mind that my animals are well looked after and safe from harm. And thats all I ever wanted from my dreams?

It would be nice to share it with a bloke but then hes got a lot of standards to be judged by?
Cats, dogs, chickens.ponies, the weird donkey and the charolais bull and the simmental cows? If they dont likey he not righty!

anyone interested in 3 bed cottage,4 acres,3 stables, and barn pm me for info!

not quite the dream but i definately have a lot to be thankful for;

- a wonderful other half - who although we have had our ups and downs - is the most decent and handsome man i've met. i'd love it if he could learn to wash up after himself and remember important anniversaries without too much prompting ... but i'm sure he'd moan about the fact that i steal the bed quilts, always burn whatever i try and cook or that currently our lounge has been taken over by my tack and is probably stinking the flat out!

- the flat my other half and i bought together - it may not be the rose cottage with a white picket fence and acres of grazing, that i secretly dream of but it is ours, it is beautiful and i get to live with said wonderful other half.

- my job - it may not be the most worthy of careers compared to what other people do but it is something i really enjoy, am good at and being able to work freelance for myself gives me an awful lot of freedom - hacking in the mornings or afternoons for example, which during the winter is a total luxury :D

- the health and happiness of family and friends. i am totally, totally spoilt with my family and friends - and to know that on the whole, they are happy and healthy is something i am enternally grateful for.

- my best two arab horses in the whole wide world - they make me worry, they take up most of my free time and money & too a lot of people they are just two bog-standard ugly, good for nothing arabs with faces that look like they've been involved in a RTA and will never, ever be anything special or worth looking twice at .. but to me, they are the loves of my life and my reason for getting out of bed every morning and i just love them both, dearly.

- being able to keep both said arab's at my friends place with like minded friends - my horses are able to live out 24/7 (something i've always dreamed of) and as naturally as possible. we have tremendous fun together - and practically, it is so much easier too. it is peaceful, tranquil and having like minded friends means that there is no politics or unpleasantness and if a problem does crop up then we are able to sit down, with a cup of tea and talk it out rationally like grown-up friends do ... and then laugh about it later!

of course, i'd like a bit more money as i'd love to embark on more horse related courses which at the moment i'm having to save up to do - and i'd love to have the horses at home ... but having thought about everything i do have, i am certainly a very lucky girl indeed. :D
