Money off replacement hats after damage?

I'm looking to buy a new riding hat after a fall a few weeks ago. I came across this:-

Now I know its an American website but isnt Charles Owen British? So does this policy stand here? It does mention how many years you've owned the hat so I assume receipts would need to be shown (how many people keep receipts beyond a few months I doubt many - I dont).

I think its a good insentive to encourage people to replace their hats.

People would be more careful about keeping the recepts!
