Ah see I posted something about this earlier (Monty Roberts Towerlands) because I went to Towerlands in Essex and my horse was chosen as the naughty loader!! I was impressed but then he was loading him with metal barriers up with no partitions and no doors on the back.... he was not "cured" when it came to loading him to go home.....

I have seen Monty before 9 years ago and I think I was much more impressed then... it was more of a show this time around than a demo I think... just my humble opinion tho and I gather every demo is different!

Glad you enjoyed anyway!

At Towerlands he did a bad loader (mine - oh the pride!) and a spooky horse which he got to walk over plastic on the floor and have bags rubbed all over his face. There was a lot more demo of "join-up" in the saddle as opposed to on the floor this time round - I prefer the floor stuff with the licking and chewing etc myself but it is all interesting viewing.

I loved noth the MR and the Kelly Marks demos I have been to. Not a miracle cure but definately a different set of tools to consider.

The lasty demo I went to he used an analogy about some of the troubled kids he has fostered when they are naughty he just sets them to work digging ditches, they soon learn that bad behavour means more work, he said he now has more ditches than pipes to lay in them, guess it struck a chord as the mother of a teenager.

We were lucky enough to see his first tour and it changed forever the way we handled our horses.
I think in years to come people will look back and be amazed by the impact on the life of the horse worldwide he has had.
After the demo I spent many hours just sitting and watching how our herd interacted, what I learned made them so much easier to understand and handle.
I have nothing but praise for him, though like anything else involving horses, most of the things he does involve a great deal of common sense and not fast fixes.
The demos were obviously developed with a crowd in mind, what I would love is to see him on his own with a wild horse and no distractions, now that would be something else.
