Owner bought him recently to bring on for dressage but she would also like him to do some jumping which is where I come in.
He has only had 4 short jumping sessions so far and only over poles and small grids. Not introduced fillers at all yet.
Canter is still very much a work in progress.
So off we toddle to keysoe yesterday for the clear round evening.
Height starts at 60cm which I though would be good as he's never seen a course of fences. What I didn't expect was to have fillers in the course, only poles. Wrong.
Warm up was ok if a little on his toes with other horses wizzing past him.
In the ring his eyes came out on stalks. trotted round till he settled and then tried the course. I wasn't pushing him as he really is very genuine, just completey confused by the fillers and sights.

I then took he straight round again. You can see the difference immediately.
He got the idea they were just jumps

Waited a while then had a pop round the 70cm.
Emphasis was on getting him thinking forward to his fences, nothing more.
