For those who might have followed my meanderings about my lovely little gelding, he's going to his new owner as of this weekend.
It's taken me a year to get to this point and a few tears and doubts, but I finally accepted that this is the best for him and for me (for lots of reasons). Luckily, he's not gone far, cos he's staying on the yard with his sharer/loaner, now owner! They are brilliant together, she adores him and they've really clicked.
Am happy that he has a lovely new home and he will do for her what he did for me, as he's the sweetest little confidence giver you could ever hope to meet. And he will be her No 1 (and only) horse, which is what he deserves.
So I'm sad (for me) and happy (for him and her). Bit like an amicable break up!
Also thinking about what amazing creatures horses are, when they do so much for us. He's like equine therapy
