Hi,I'm 13 and I lease a 6 year old 14.2h cross breed pony called Mystery Boy and we live in South Africa.I have been leasing him for a year now and since the begining of March he's been acting all different and when I take him to shows he get really strong and it's hard to control him.He doesn't run out of the arena,but he just runs wel,around.And when I go and fetch him in the field,he runs away or he swings his bum to me.I'm a really nervous rider so as soon as he runs I get tense and pull and release the reins and then he get's tense and it's a big mush!My sister says she thinks it's because the mares are in season why he is acting all silly.My instructor says she thinks he runs off because maybe someone yanked him in his mouth a long time ago and now he's running away from the pain and his previous owner says she thinks he get exited.As soon as we jump higher he calmes down.We checked his teeth,his saddle fits and his food is fine.He has also been taken out of the riding school,so maybe he's just fresh?I really don't want to lease a other pony,because from the 1st moment I saw him,i just melted!(Sorry it's so long!I just don't want to let out importent pieces
