Popped down to Badgworth yesterday to ease the winter boredom

Little monkey didnt want to load but allowed herself to follow small white pony in and then naturally wouldnt let SWP leave so had to be escorted around Badgworth with it too *rolls eyes*

Anyway, had decided that as she's never done pure SJ before and never jumped indoors before, we'd do the BN and discovery. Unfortuantely the BN turned out to be a qualifier so there were SO many people- at least 50-60 so got a little bored hanging around then as is always the way, didnt leave myself with quite enough time to jump as much as would maybe have liked!
She was very sweet in the ring- the course was quite spooky, had a water tray as well which she's never seen and many were having probs here. Bless her, she didnt quite know what to do with herself but popped round calmly, just had a rail going into the second double.

Onto discovery next which was much more her height- she doesnt really bother with anything under 1m (neither do I which is prob most of the problem!) In this she surpassed herself- high on confidence and she felt fab, boy can she jump and even where she found a couple of the distances long (she is only tiny....) she really tried. Finished with a lovely clear, one happy pony and one happy mummy!!
Didnt bother waiting around for the JO- she'd done all she needed to do and we were on a ticket anyway.

So now I'm going to join and aim to do the discovery and 1.05 next time

Well done! I thought it would be busy, there was nothing else on. Badgworth isn't the easiest place to jump as the arena is quite small so if you go clear there you can do it anywhere. They do have the best food around though.

Where are you going next?

I'm tempted by their show on the 12th, also tempted to go hunting that weekend though so shall have to decide what's better for her to do. Need to look at the Hand schedule too- think she'd like jumping there.

I went out with the mendip once last year - if you are a newbie you can go for £25, they probably do student rates as well. We left early as it was very very boring - we sat for about 2hrs on the side of the road while they tried to find something to follow

Hooray!! What a clever girl she is - Will will love her

Our brown pony wasn't so good, but never mind.
Did you see Amy?
Wish we had gone now, but we were too busy sorting out new yard.........

Shall come along when you go partying next time I think.

Well done Moon and Boss. She is coming on nicely and you are brave as I am still jumping BN and Disc, debating whether to try the 1.05 as we are nearly out of BN.
She is a good girlie to go clear. Well done.
