Just wondering if anyone could fill me in on the Totilas situation at the moment as I haven't followed it particularly closely. I'm currently set an assignment at college regarding the link between a horse's lifestyle and a horse's natural behavior and from what I've picked up on Totilas at his current owner's his un-natural life-style (being stabled for long periods of time) has had a detrimental effect on his temperament/performance?
Basically was thinking it'd make a nice current case study/comment so it would be very much appreciated if anyone could fill me in!:D

Think theres more to the change in Totalis than the fact he is stabled all the time- I think this was "normal" for him before being sold.

Watch the video "Taming of Totalis" on Youtube for a bit more background. Think you might find the training and riding style more to blame for the change in him.

Erm, I think you'll find that Totilas has been kept stabled for the vast majority of his life, both at his new stable and with Edward Gal, who is on record as saying he was scared to let him out as he was so crazy when loose.

I think one of the welfare groups trying to press charges, wasn't it PETA? Something to do with the horse stabled and kept in confinement? Can't remember where I saw it??
