Yesterday we tootled down to Keysoe for the BE100, never been before, but it was lovely. Moot adored the surface in the outdoor arena, never felt her so happy!

Plaiting up with her massage pad, Moot was very stressed, as you can see...

The warm up for Dressage was, erm, 'interesting'. Moot spent the first 10 mins refusing to go forwards, rearing and tantruming on the spot. The cause was my stupidity, I'd put her bit up one hole on one side when I'd put it back together :o Silly me, problem sorted she warmed up reletively well and did an 'alright' test, to score a 39. She's been doing so much better than that, but given what she started off like, I was happy!

Massive wait until my SJ, plenty of time to walk the course, have a picnic and a snooze :D I thought the course looked great, but massive, not just one or two big fences, but everything looked huge! Particularly a couple of big, wide table type fences, a couple of ditches, a meaty corner with an alternative and an interesting double of skinnies on a curving line with a steep down hill part after the first skinny. But we wanted a challenge, so I was looking forward to seeing how she'd cope :D

Show Jumping, I did the bare minimum and went in early as it was hot and they were desperate for people to jump. It was perhaps one of the best rounds I have ever jumped on Moot, she was well eager, but totally and utterly focused on what I asked. We had one down where she jumped big into a related distance and I hooked into an upright, but I was chuffed with how she felt.

Cross Country, after a big wait due to a traffic light malfunction  we set off, got a totally duff stride to the first and I thought uh oh... but I needn't have worried, she was awesome! Not by any means a foot perfect round, she was totally the most honest horse ever at a skinny wishing well when we overshot the turn and she jumped into the middle of the fence rather than run out - amazing pony moment No. 1 :D
She had a look see at the mound fences to see what was what but was never going to stop, flew the ditch and shot up the hill over the big scary fence in the corner - amazing pony No.2 I was grinning from ear to ear at that point :D
Down to the skinny barrels, jumped the first lovely, got deep to the second, half trotted and scrambled over somehow, I got thrown forwards and landed up by her ears, Moot righted herself, picked up canter, went down the slope, turned and jumped the big skinny brush by herself whilst I got myself back in the plate - Absolutley most amazing pony ever moment No. 3 :D
With lots of good girls from me and big pats, she trundled off to the finish and finished exactly 1 second in the time :D :D

So a really chuffed Kirsty began to untack, wash off and unstud her pony... Only to get kicked in the face by the ruddy thing  She just snatched her foot away as I started to take her back studs out, she has always been funny about her back legs and I just wasn't paying as much attention to what I was doing - to hyped up after her fabness ;)

Very very luckily she hasn't got me very badly, I look a little bit like the Elephant Women and I have an awesome black eye, but that's it!

Lemon Drizzle Cake for anyone that got this far, it is pretty awesome, even if I do say so myself!

I don't wish to come across as some weird stalker (I am a lurker rather than a poster on here!) but Keysoe is our local event and my friend and I were there most of the weekend grooming or spectating, and just wanted to say your round made us smile, we were by the barrels/brush skinnies and loved the "CLEVER PONY GOOD GIRL!" as she jumped! :D That combination caused a lot of run outs, weirdly more on the Saturday than the Sunday

Well done that 100 course was massive our 90 was bad enough definately the biggest I have done but the hundred looked huge. I nearly had a heart attack when course walking as I rounded the corner and thought your saw bench was ours if you know what I mean. I was planning to move up to 100 this year but just haven't had the runs so have walked the 100 courses at all the events we have been to and have felt we would be fine at most so the height and technicality of Keysoe shocked me. That said my mare is awesome and made nothing of the 90 so I'm sure would be fine it's just the rider thats the problem:o

Well done, the big surface at Keysoe is fab, the SJ is always up to height and very bright and atmospheric. One of the benefits of Keysoe being our local (1hr 20min) is that every where else looks small and relatively straightforward!

Super Mally! She looks fab as always :D

Ouch!! The eye looks painful! hope it recovers soon.

Randomly it isn't sore at all, not unless I smile or move my mouth, then it's bloody painful!

Saw the eye on Twitter - that's some shiner
Well done with the rest of the day :D

I'm so chuffed it's bruised, I never get a mark on me normally :D

:o :D She was a very clever pony though ;) I've just had a look at the Pro pics and they were at that combo, she MAJORLY left a leg at the barrels!

Fab report though minus the black eye would have been good! She has come on so well and is such a star, isn't she? Huge well dones once again :)

I could have definitely gone without it! She is so amazing, I actually love her more than I thought possible! I had a lesson with Jeanette tonight (That's what Moots get when they kick their owners in the face!) and she was amazing! Jeanette rode her for a bit and she looked amazing, I was grinning like a moron watching her! :D

Ouch the shiner looks painful but a huge well done it sounds like you both had fun.

We always have fun, even when I'm getting kicked in the face ;)

Well done you both, apart from the Tyson moment. I saw you in the distance heading off to xc but was busy busy so didn't get to come and say Hi, sorry!

That's fine, I kept an eye out for you and save a piece of cake, but I figured your times would be pretty tight!

Yay well done moot and you!! I love keysoes 100 course I schooled round it at the end of last year and before I could compete she broke so fingers crossed next yr I can pop round it!

I've never been before, but I really loved it, will definitely return. Fingers crossed for you!

Well done! I was in the start/timing box and had to try and deal with that traffic light malfunction! Not fun lol

Oh I bet you had fun! I was quite happy waiting in the sunshine trying to remember the course! :D

I've jumped a few BE100s now, so I was pretty sure I wasn't being a wuss about it! That Saw table was pretty large, even Moot got a shock about it when she came around the corner! I thought what I saw of the BE90 looked pretty stiff, never seen a bounce of steps up in a BE90 before  You sail around a nice BE100 after that! :D I did absolutely love riding around the course despite slightly bricking it!

Well done, lovely photos too! Shame about the black eye!

I am quite enjoying the black eye, spotting the stares and whispers when I was walking around Tesco's earlier was fun :D

The SJ course was pretty large, although oddly I felt fine about it, someone actually asked for a couple of fences to be remeasured, so I felt even more proud of myself for not being worried about it! :D

Oh dear, I am a bit the same at the moment after getting a knee to the eye :o

Can I ask what make the massage pad is, perhaps you have a link to a website? Thanks :)

It's an Equilibrium Massage Pad, Mally loves it as you can see, sends her straight to sleep :D
