Morag - Sarah Cotton (verney)

Ive never seen or heard about this horses achievements, but there is a horse on my yard who is Morags son, who was my jump trainers old horse and he says that Spider sometimes reminds him of Morag.

Any one know much about her? I believe Sarah used to ride her (Sarah comes down to my yard every winter for clinics), just wondered if anyone had any info?

Morag was the highest placed mare at badminton a few years.

Morag was one of, if not the first Eventing mare to have embro transplant, I'm sure that was the mare

Morag was a fantastic mare - you should be able to find her eventing results on www.britisheventing.com As for pic's, you may need to trawl very old copies of Horse and Hound etc to find anything - she did most of her stuff before the wide use of the internet (80's and early 90's!) - very long time ago now!!!

Hi Sarah used to train me when she was competing Morag and I was based at her yard for a while. It was a long time ago - must have been mid 90s. The horse was a real cross country machine and was first mare to undergo embryo transplant. I can't think where you could get any more info from - will have a think as I am out of touch with Sarah now.
