Yes there is

its called hand grazing a grumpy horse for 30 mins so he can have some sun on his back and stuff his face for a bit. Best blinking weather and my boy had his first injury for donkeys having managed to slice some of his frog off. I stuck a lunge rein on him and tried sitting on a crate but after being pulled over a couple of times, rejigged the rein around his head and walked with him! Total riding this weekend - 5 minutes yesterday.. oh well on the nice side, my friend has said I can hack her boy out while Goose recovers (gets a pad put on tomorrow!!

frustrating not being able to ride, I am with you on that one, but I love hand grazing, just listening to the sound of them munching along, obviously really enjoying themselves. I sometimes take my mare to bits of grass no horse has grazed on (thinking it must be the equivalent of 'tesco finest')!
Hope horse mends soon x

Goose is a 16.2 gray (of course) ISH.

And hand grazing would be more fun if I could sit and enjoy the sun but having been pulled off onto my backside twice I decided I needed to stand up!

He does have a much smarter show name but Goose suits him (and reminded me of Top Gun!). Littleme can vouch for him!

I used to work at a horsepital in newmarket and we used to have to go pick grass!!! Not just a little about 2 feed sacks of it (per horse too). It had to be the right colour/type/dryness also had to get it in the right type of grass. If none of this was right the vet would put it on the muck heap and you had to go get more!!!

Now that was a boring task!!!!

ha ha you win!!! felt ultra mean though as had the jeep parked with the rear window up - my 2 dogs were doing meercat impersonations wondering what I was doing outside the yard and without them! Unfortunately I had my hands full with Goose and didn't rate my chances of being 100% in control with 3 strong willed animals!
