... a water container that has that green slime build up? The slimy bit comes off but over time little bits harden on until it all goes green. This is in relation to the chicken drinker. Its the one that you turn upside down to fill and the water comes out through little holes into the base tray so it always has water in it (those with chickens will know what I mean!) but I hate having them all green and after a while I bin them. I clean them twice a week, more if they get dirt in them and more in the summer but they ALWAYs go green no matter what I do. Anyone got any tips on how to clean them? I have scrubbed with metal scouring pad to no avail.....
 
Soak them in Milton sterilising fluid!!! It will kill off the algae and make them all nice again

Thanks everyone ! I'll put it in the dishwasher now and then get some Milton or citridal later todya when out! Dont tell my OH - he freaks when I put the horses bits in the dishwasher!
