more dodgy training in dressage...............

That is just unspeakable. Electric shocks bad enough - but nails under the saddle?!!!!!!!!!

That woman should be made to walk around with nails in her shoes. And get a lifetime ban. And have her forehead tattooed 'horse torturer'. Words fail.

I agree that a lifetime ban from competition should definitely have been imposed, I doubt that she would want to keep horses for pleasure, as she appears to treat them like machines.

Watching dressage comps frequently makes me very cross, with riders like nodding dogs, hands all over the place or rigidly fixed and feet doing goodness knows what, with an extreme driving seat. And I'm not talking about the local Prelim tests but much higher level than this. But some of the training methods leave me almost speechless!

Good God! What has the world come to; who would even think of things like that? I am so glad I left the world of dressage and competition; nothing justifies doing this!

I am with Cortez on this ,why would you think oh the horse won't do x oh yes I know what I will do I'll put some nails under the saddle .
Shocking and appalling behaviour competitions secretarys should refuse her entries .
No excuses no second chances.

I'm truly shocked.
Quite aside from how disgusting this is, I cannot comprehend how it is that any of these "methods" were supposed to achieve anything constructive.
I agree she should have had a lifetime competing ban. That said, hopefully what has happened has had lots of adverse publicity and lost her rides and clients.

What are the nails under the saddle, stones under nosebands and electric shocks actually meant to achieve?! I dont see how any of these cruel methods can make a horse go better!

Oh dear. Words fail me!

We're privileged that horses allow us up onto their backs and ponce around for us at all without all these harsh and cruel methods human impose upon them-with no real purpose !
What are any of those methods supposed to achieve?
