Just been off the phone to the dealer (with a very good reputation ;)) who had Loki and I've found out some lovely things :) He was a lovely guy who kindly let me grill him for details and was really happy to find out where my lad ended up :)

Loki (or Cookie as he was known in Ireland) was actually bred from his stallion and a friends mare :) The stallion is a big skewbald cob who is well known for producing laid back, sweet natured foals. He's going to put me in touch with the mare's owners too :D Micheal likes to buy them in unbroken and do the breaking and riding away himself so he knows exactly what sort of horse he's got :)

At 4yo Loki was bought by Micheal (the dealer) to break and ride away, I have a pic of his first proper sit on and a few more pics of him looking pretty stunning all hogged and clipped too :D After some hacking and generally seeing the world Loki was sold on as a little show cob somewhere between August - October to a guy in England.

He passed through Newcastle and by the looks of it came straight up to my old yard at the end of November. 2 weeks later I had fallen head over heels and bought him :D

So if you're ever in the market for a lovely, laid back sort of Cob give me a PM and I'll send you Micheal's details, if my horse is anything to go by you really will end up with a cracking horse! :D

The thing I like most about this, is it's a positive dealer post, so many negative ones! ;)

Oh! And the fact you were able to trace your horse, that's never easy! :p

Ha ha! Aye he was a really nice bloke and was really kind txting back and forth with me yesterday to figure out which horse I was on about (once I'd sent him pics he remembered him) before I called today, he was really accomidating and he actually has a brilliant reputation over there for being honest and for his horses being good :D Also he's said if we're ever in the area we're welcome to pop in for a look, meet himself and Loki's sire :D

He's just sent me some pics of his sire, what a handsome big lad he is! :D Apparently he's a really laid back gentle sort too and Micheal sent me a pic of him jumping so now I know where my lad gets it from :D

Aye I really wasn't holding my breath tbh about finding out anything from him knowing he came to me through a dealer who's name I didn't know ha ha! MrsJingle on here did a bit of detective work as she's from the area Loki came from and gave me details to get in touch with Micheal so massive credit to her for getting me there :D
