Please excuse fencing. NOT as bad as it looks in this photo and now replaced. I just love how he looks in this photo. OH had it blown up to a poster and framed.

He really is gorgeous and in every picture he truly looks happy and content. He could have had a different path in life if it wasnt for you. What a lucky boy!

I am sure he is cantering in the clouds looking down on his Mummy and best friend Zoom.

I am sure he is always with you.

Those pics have just made me cry for the 2nd time today. Hope they are making you smile as well as cry as you think of your beautiful Monty. Be very proud of yourself and him.
 
She is a bit upset. She has been looking for him but she is pretty independent so I think she'll be ok...........don't know if I will though

He was much more attached to her that she was to him so hopefully after a few days she will stop looking for him.
 
He looks so happy in all of those pics (apart from the dreaded dentist - who would - lol) You should be honoured that he very obviously loved you and was very happy with you. My old boy is now 26 and I have not been able to ride him safely for years so you obviously got something right.

You will miss him and the pain wont go for a long time. But try to think of the good times. At least it was reletively quick and you did not have to endure the pain of seeing him go downhill slowly. You did all you could for him and gave him dignity at the end. He will be with you forever, in your heart. I truely believe that they stick around to make sure we are alright so I'm guessing he will.

My heart goes out to you. Big hugs for you and Zoom.

What lovely photos and great memories you will have of such a handsom horse. I hope you and zoom help eachother through this tough time and i know monty is looking down on you. ((((((hugs)))))))))
 
I missed what happened to him, last i knew he was happy and healthy. I do remember him being a very grand old age though. He looks so happy and well on those pictures and it sounds like he has a wonderful life with you so well done for giving an old horse a great last few years xx
 
What a lovely handsome lad. As everyone says - a credit to you. There is never a good way to lose one but a short illness with all the love and care around him was probably one of the better ways for him.
I know how much it hurts and how you will miss him but remember all the love you gave each other.
 
Am sooo sorry. I missed your post the other day and just want to offer you ((((hugs)))) and say you really did the right thing and you gave Monty the best life he could have dreamed of. Hope you're ok and that it doesn't hurt as much as I know it is doing.
