Thanks to every one who responded last week after my boy took a kick above his hock. Well we had the scan yesterday

The leg is thickened just above and around the hock and according to the vet he has damage to the gastrocnemius (sp) tendon in his hock.
He has to stay in a small paddock (to stop him looning around!), for 6 weeks then they will re scan again. Can't give me a diagnosis yet but if tendon is damaged long term, no jumping and i'm unsure about any riding with him
, we wanted to do low level eventing and he's only 5.
