Oh I love the highest GSD!

Do you rehome them or are they all rescue dogs that stay with you?

You have sooo many, I don't know how you cope!

I do hae my own rescues and I will post them seperate......cos there was already far too many..........I couldnt poss keep them all we get hundreds......all of the pics are for rehoming or already rehomed
grin.gif

Most of our springers sheps and labs go to the police as working dogs.......unless we think they would make better pets then we home them into family homes.....all the spingers are gone but we have a few cockers in at the moment

Gorgeous dogs. They all look so happy.

I volunteer for a rescue and we had a purebred Saluki (but without the feathering) in last year. I wanted her so much (DH said no

), but what's more annoying, I live opposite a six-acre, fenced in dog park, so she could have been let off leash to play (I know a lot of sighthounds can't). Amazing to think such a dog was found wandering the streets of Brooklyn, NYC.

Yep.................It is amazin to think the majority of these dogs where brought into to be PTS...............Some with some pathetic excuses............. i.e didnt think it would grow that big/having a baby cant possibly have a dog/its chewing/new partner dosnt like dogs/dog dosnt like the new puppy I bought/cant house train it BLA BLA.........rubbish!!! and all the rest of it.
Some where found in appauling states and others just christmas chuck outs who lost their cute appeal

Some of these dogs have been purchased for a large sum of money.........however when they become a problem it does not stop folk gettin rid of them
mad.gif

It is very hard work and can be stressful at times.......feeling like banging our heads of a brick wall
crazy.gif

On the other hand it can be very rewarding.......seeing these dogs go to their new homes
smile.gif

We carry out home checks/keep them permanantley chipped in our names/have the new owners sighn legally binding agreements........and they are all NEUTERED
smile.gif
and chipped
grin.gif
It can be very time consuming and expensive

but worth it.
Now u all know why I have my little rants about un-neccesary breeding LOL

I got my English Pointer from Cala's mum.
This is her.

If I remember rightly the Boxer had microphthalmia - he was born with an abnormally small eye so the thrid eyelid just stays permanantly across and he looks like he's winking at you - a lovely dog.
I was seriously tempted by Hope the saluki cross - she was one of the worst cruelty cases I have come across in my career but still the sweetest natured dog and totally trusting of people despite obviously receiving some pretty rough treatment from people in the past. Anyway she ended up with my friends brother in law and they love her to bits and she lives in the lap of luxury now so she has a happy ending.

He came to us with little history........we where unsure if this had been an injury or birth defect...........It did not bother him at all and he did have full sight in the eye........His name was sox and he was not blessed with alot of brains
grin.gif
bless!
He went to a wonderful new home with a young couple that lived on a farm with lots of horsies.....we still see him from time to time
smile.gif

Thanks for sharing such lovely pics. All the doggies look sooo happy

Well done to you and your mum, you should both be very proud.

I love the GSD(?) in the last pic and the whippet type playing. Are they still avaliable?

They are actually both goneto their new homes.......The whippet one is a saluki x whippet........we put her story in the national news papers.....as she was emaciated and covered in tab burns
mad.gif
....hence the scars on her side.........the police brouht her to my mam.......because a well known charity(wont mention the name) wanted nothing to do with her
mad.gif
.........as you can see she recovered well......we called her hope.....I have just posted another rescue picci in the advice re rescue reyhound post........have a peek
smile.gif

Awwww poor little baby. I hope they'll be happy in their new homes.

Are any of the other GSDs still needing new homes? I've just had a look at the greyhound, she is lovely.

Just the two together in the photo bucket.........they where brouht be be PTS because they where bought as guard dogs and they where to soft
frown.gif

So they have been used to living outside so they will be a little harder to rehome.......if u r interested in a shepherd I will post any future piccies of ones we get in.............we get alot of shepherds in.

Thank you- I think he is cute too
smile.gif

Thank you for that. TBH I'm a sucker for a cute face and a sob story! I have quite a soft spot for shepherds and collies though.

Where abouts are you based?

We have a blu merle colli but she is 7 dosnt look it tho......she is gorgeous.............I will try and Get OH to put her in the photo Gallery so u can have a lookey
grin.gif
