Holly collie is 14 weeks now.
She eats everything and anything and keep s getting runny poos.

Is this normal for puppies? i know they pick up stuf but she will eat stones, mud anything!

How do you stop it?
All advice gratefully recieved!!

many thanks

what are you actually feeding her? That could be causing the runny poos.

I terms of her eating other stuff it's just a case of having her on a long line and checking her away with a firm "leave it". You could practise "leave it"s at home by putting cheese or something on the floor and making her ignore it.

Harley never really ate anything except horse poo, which my vet said just to let him get on with and he'd grow out of it, which he just about has. He used to pick up white things on walks (paper, cups etc) but only threw them around and then continued. So I ignored that too and he's outgrown it.

She is on James Welbeloved puppy food, with a little cooked chicken and rice in because she is underweight due to eating something that made her ill.

Thanks for reply

It took a while and a few different foods to "harden" Bramble up as a young pup. Didn't rate the James Wellbeloved and chicken went right through her. Ended up using Wafcol Puppy (salmon & potato I think). She too was a bit of a scavenger but to be honest when we got the food right she was fine and grew out of the picking everything up, well mostly ;)
