mmmmmmmmmmmmh, intresting questions! Not sure what you were after there. i go to events because my friends go or my friends or sister is competing not because i feel it makes me posh!!

Yes, I thought really odd questions relating to self esteem and social status. I think if your hypothesis is that people go because it makes them feel posh you in for a null bigtime. I only ever go because friends are riding- from little local club shows (if you heared the language coming from some 4 y olds mouths you would realize - far from posh) to affiliated stuff- always because friends are competing. Got tickets to the olympics though because it's in the UK for the only time in my lifetime and I get to see the best of the best- team SJ final! Yeah!

Didn't really get the art bit either- well maybe dressage you could call art if it's done well to music.
