To the clan last week.

I say welcomed, Millie kind of ermm didn't and Marble hit back and after we'd had the third blonde hair rolling around in a ball scuffle I called time and split them  and that's why they didn't get a thread last week in case they had to go back .

So this week has been, you will get to know each other having split their actual indoor cage and the 'neutral' run in half and kept swapping them sides so no one got territorial. Then today I'd bought new fleeces, moved the whole set up to the kitchen instead of the lounge and promised myself that I would really try not to get involved. It's been a bit stressful but only because I like my pigs too much and don't want anyone upset! Pleased I did it now rather than when they were older though, I feel they are a bit more resilient at 2. I was also very aware that my attempt to give my old girl a friend didn't end well so really wanted this time to be ok.

In the interim I'd bought them a webcam (so I could keep an eye on them)- which also told me they seemed to be better without me there ? so I set that on the kitchen table and went and sat on the sofa.

First long hairs but hoping they might be a bit more sociable, millie and tiffin are definitely 'my pigs' so despite coming to call etc they go into hiding whenever anyone else is in the building and we didn't see them for the 4 days of christmas we spent at Mum's.

Will add some vids when I've some more time to post.

The brown one looks like she's sitting there saying "if I stay very still, nobody will realise I'm here". I love her colour.

Tiffin is the brown/agouti :) she's a very little pig and not had the best few days as she's had to deal with Millie redirecting on her when she couldn't get to marble. . .
Obviously at that point I started catastrophising that I would have also destroyed their happy relationship forever.....

I really wasn't planning on getting two more but the breeder (they all came from the same :) ) put photos up twice within a few days and here we are, it is about as impulsive/spontaneous as I get though! Convinced myself it was a superb plan as will hopefully avoid the situation of one old lone piggy again. She also said that Marble was really chill and would quite poss be ok to introduce on her own (pairs usually preferred if adding to an exsisting pair)- not quite the case! She's been great at hand holding a bit too.

I need to go shed shopping for outside for summer as current hutch not big enough but I managed to extend their main indoor cage and they will chill in the lounge in the evenings for zoomies and taming.

They're absolutely lovely! I had long haired before, I gave them some embarrassing hair cuts around the bum out of necessity but I loved having them about. Flossie is especially cute :)

I always said I wouldn't but the breeders lunkarya boys did do a very good of charming me on my last visit! She picked flossie for me but I'm pleased she did :). It is rather looking like despite all Millie's protesting marble is going to be queen pig given that she just shoved her out of the biggest fleece tube... Millie looked quite offended after!

Aww congratulations! The 6ft Chartwell double hutch is definitely big enough for 4 girls, as a consideration.
Thanks (I have the 4ft but it's not really great even for 2, slightly annoyinng that I replaced the floors and back last summer!) Due to garden layout I only have room for a single in a 6ft or something bespoke as it would have to go under the windowsill. Thankfully I have a tame carpenter so we will be having a chat :).

Currently building a shelf for them lol
