My 4yo TB has filled out and the old wide fitting saddle is now too narrow. He's 15.2 but there's a lot of him, big shoulders, broad chest for a TB, big ribcage and of course big withers.
Years ago one could buy cut back head saddles designed for animals such as these and my old one is of that era, but what was wide 30 years ago is probably medium wide today.
I am more than happy to go second hand if there are decent examples of what I want available, but I think I am going to have to do the whole get the fitter out and go new thing.
Any views?

That would probably be your best option but rather than buy new (as he may mature more) why not get your saddler to bring out some 2nd hands as well? That's what I did with my TB and then I part exchanged the 2nd hand one for a new one at a later stage.

Kieffer are good for this shape horse and the tree can be remoulded for around £50 if/when he changes shape. Nearly all cut back in the head too
