He is still causing trouble - refusing to be caught for the first time ever after escaping into the big field, being a sod for the Farrier (who will be very pleased to hear the shoes are coming off!) being only the most recent escapades!

I,m really sorry to hear this, I know what its like when your a one horse owner and something happens to them, you are left with a very expensive pet! He is very lucky to have you as an owner. Keep your gear, trust me, you will use it again, I've been in exactly same boat as you and after a while you just crack, and by hook or crook another horse appears in your life!

I'm not on here so much so have missed other posts about it but have you tried rhustox (homeopathic tablets) or magnetic boots. I did both with my old arthritic highland and it kept him sound to hack out now and again, bit of cantering. Might be worth a try.

He is being a lovely pony at the moment

Went down to see him this evening and had to fill the trough up, sat on the grass whilst I waited and he kept pestering me, then followed me round the field like a big dog - trotting after me if I ran, stopping dead everytime I did and going backwards as I walked towards him

The people in the cars passing the field must have thought I was bonkers

But who needs Parelli, hey

My Mum has already tried to swindle my Brother's latest Girlfriend out of a horse. She breaks in youngsters

Maybe wait a bit longer before trying to pull the Family discount card, especially given how log his relationships seem to last
