Went to see another yard... and now I'm torn again!
To recap... yesterday, I had decided I favoured a yard in the heart of the common, it had hacking, school, stable, lovely YO, but no electricity, no one lived there and Dorey would be the only horse...
Today's yard, it's small, there's like 7 horses. There's stables, fields, jumps, a school, hacking, a tack room, really lovely YO who lives on site... and is £55 a month cheaper!!! But there's a lot of youngsters... (teens, not kiddies!). Also, it has a sister yard that runs loads of events!
I am very enclined towards this last yard. It has POWER! The kids seem to ride everyone's horse, but they want a jumper... and guess what Dorey can do! So whilst I might be a grumpy old lady... Dorey will be in her element!
Also... a factor I only considered tonight... Dorey will have just been weaned when she moves. Leaving her on her own might be a bit cruel... At the second yard, she could have individual turnout or go out with another livery!
Decisions decisions.
Also... The Second yard has 1 vacancy that I have to make up my mind about... The First one has TWO vacancies and only one other person interested...
In short, if I don't like it, the other one is more likely to be there!
