I am looking at a Morris and Nolan saddle on EBAY and I wanted to get peoples opinions of these saddles please?I have a 16.2 high wither TB and it looks ideal, but I want to know if £180 is a good price as they seem to go for around £700 new but I have no experience of theses saddles so would like some advice please.

Also I am looking at this saddle but I think (based on the question and answer below) it is a WIDE saddle ?

My favourite saddle in terms of looks and comfort at the yard is a Stubben. Even after years of use it still looks fairly new, fits the horse well (a 15.2hh BWP) and is very comfortable to ride in. Don't know anything more than that though!

Hi

I purchased one of these MN 13 years ago never had to get it re stuffed etc and I paid about £640 approx brand new. I have a wide cob and I did try a second hand Stubben in the shop, got to say it really was sooo comfy and the best saddle I have sat on! But it was £££700 even second hand and not wide enough for my cob. If money is no object I probably would have got a stubben but I am a happy hacker and my MN is fine and still looks good.

But I am very pleased with my saddle English Leather I think is the best still

good luck

I have a 16hh high withered tb and my mn fits great, bought mine second hand from tack shop so waz 285 so think 180 is great deal. Really comfy :)

I have never liked Stubben saddles - never sat in one that I found comfy. I have a M&N saddle - and it's lovely.

But it very much individual choice - I have a wintec dr. saddle on my boy at the moment, and love it - but am very much aware that it wouldn't be everyone's ideal...
