Moser Avalon

Wondered if anyone can help me? I'm on the hunt for a new set of blades for my set of Avalon clippers. I can only find the cheap imitations and I would like to pay the extra for the proper ones. The one set I did get with the clippers are the ceramic ones and I would like another pair as they clip sooooo easily. I have a couple of pairs of the liveryman wide snap on blades but they are a bit temperamental!

Hoping someone, somewhere knows where I can get the proper ceramic blades from as I've searched everywhere!

I'm afraid I opnly have a slice of toast to offer!!

Im not sure about the ceramic ones but i buy wahl blades for mine. They clip brilliantly and sharpen well.

Yes, I get Wahl ones too - IIRC they stopped doing the ceramic ones because they weren't as hard wearing/long lasting. That's why you can't buy them!

ETA: Wahl make the moser avalons so they should work perfectly with wahl blades.

If you contact Wahl they do blade resharpening or replacement at a decent price. I emailed them on Customer.Services@wahl.co.uk and they sent a list of the servicing and blade info.

Thanks SpottedCat, I had wondered about those ceramic blades too.

I'd given my set in that had come with the clippers for sharpening at a local tack shop years ago now, then she did a moonlight flit apparently owing lots of money and took my blades with her!

Have been using the normal wahl stainless steel ones and they've been fine.

Great, thanks guys I'll get a set of the metal ones. I think the ceramic ones are ace though so its a shame they dont do them anymore!
