Mosquitoes

Apologies if anyone has already asked this. Does anyone have a magic answer or tip, other than lots of scrubbing and water changing for keeping mosquito larvae out of water troughs? Feel like I'm wasting so much water because of the damn things

We used to have goldfish in the troughs, kept mossies down and stopped it freezing in winter. Failing that get a tank with goldfish and scoop them out to feed to fish.

Water pump to keep the water flowing? They only like still water.
