Mosquitos what to do

It's beautifully warm tonight and I wanted t leave Armas out however he was being swarmed by mosquitos he had on his fly rug on which helps.
I sprayed him with bug spray which had no affect. I felt so sorry for him I walked him back to the stable and tucked him in.
I need to find some way of keeping the mosquitos from eating him to death.
Any suggestions ???

there is nothing you can do apart from keeping him in at night. I have tried all of the lotions and sprays and none of them make the slightest difference. At least he will be bitten less if he is stabled. Sorry, not much help.

A deet based repellent should work. Also feed marmite sandwiches, good for repelling mosquitoes and I believe cider vinegar can work also.
