Ive got a horrendous moss problem this year. Ive spent £££'s on harrowing, slitting, mole and land draining, reseeding and spraying with ferous sulphates but the damn stuff wont give over.

Has anyone found a solution?

Ive got 4 horses and 6 acres and they go out 6 hours a day but its heavy clay and the grass is poor all year round.

Im thinking of just tunring out every other day... dont know what to do !

I havent got anywhere else to put them.. I tried sheep when I first bought the place (5 years ago) but they just made a mess of the new grass... oh and ran away !

we just chain harrow the moss.its a pain but we found thats the best way to sort it.and as for sheep.don't know if they would eat moss anyway.

Your post caught my eye because we have recently rented six acres and the land is mossy and weeeeet! As we don't own it, we are loath to spend a fortune on 'fixing' it, but going by your post it would seem that we could spend a fortune and still not have decent grazing. Sorry, will not hijack your post, sill start a chain harrow thread (as per genie)
