Just for fun :D

Some racehorse names:

Felix Da Housecat (IRE)
Sheza Screamer (USA)
Hoof Hearted (USA)
He's No Pie Eater (AUS)
A French Horse
It's Not Chestnut

Not that amusing really but one of mine is called Panda. She has a black head and neck with white front legs and middle and black back legs and bum so couldn't be called anything else really.

On our yard there is a:

Horse called Horse
Frog
Like a Divvy (So when it's called out, heres Blah blah riding like a divvy)

Well people seem to find my horse's names amusing :p

Oreo (she looks like one on its side  ) and her show name is Tarte Au Citron or "lemon tart" in english as my mum always calls her a lemon :o

And Polo (spotty, so white with holes :o ) and his show name is The Freckled Boy not sure why they found that funny!

Doesn't a footballer have racehorses called "Some Horse" and "Another Horse"?! You can imagine the commentary!

By the same token, if I were ever to own a racehorse, I would call it "Going Backwards", again for the sake of the commentary :D

I remember a small fat pony who hated jumping in our PC when I grew up called

Norfolk & Chance

didn't get it then but I do now!

I remember walking the course somewhere and my mum and I were listening to the commentary. There was a horse on the course called King Edward and the commentator had great fun thinking of all the potato related jokes and puns he could...found it quite amusing myself..

yeah when we were toying with names we had "the grey one" for our dk bay so "the grey one is in the lead" or "mummy i want to bet on the grey one" errrr there isnt one... haha
also "fallen at the first" so "fallen at the first has fallen at the second" or "fallen at the first is taking the lead"... we had a lot of fun with those ones!

There have been a few good racehorse names:

The Wifes Sister - alot if jockeys rode this horse just so the owners could say that they had ridden The Wifes Sister.

Wearthefoxhat - try saying that fast! They weren't actually allowed to call himn that when he raced so he got renamed Noname.

Bonkyl Knight - owned by a group of people from Bonkyl in Nottingham and the horse raced twice before people realised what it was called. It was a genuinely innocent mistake lol!

There are some other racing related ones - MidDivAndCreep, JustGetOffAndPush, LeadingFromBehind and the likes.

There's a mare running atm called Flaming Clint - you need to see it in caps though :D

I had a friend who called her horse 'In The Buff' so the commentators would say and here's so and so riding in the buff!

My horse is called Frog! I thought he was a one off lol :D

I've known a couple of horses called Woody, which was always slightly unfortunate. I also knew a pony called Mungy! It was short for Maungamera Silver Shadow. He got renamed....

We pretrty much have boringly named horses on ythe yard now. We have one called Porridge. His big brother is Bear Dancing - owner/breeder didn't think she could get away with Bare Dancing. We have Blazin White face - I wonder why lol! The best one we currently have is The Starboard Bow - Previously trained by Sylvestor Kirk who names him. I named him Skipper on the yard before the inevitable happened - he would have been called Klingon if I hadn't have got Skipper into everyones heads first!

I had a showjumper called 'In a trance'. When the commentator read it out 'such and such riding in a trance' Never grew old of jokes. Also heard of Mr Ugbug, a black horse called silver king and a bay called blue!

There was a racehorse many moons ago called Bog Frog - a name I loved!

I knew a stallion called Sneeze - needless to say, American! Sure that can't have been his official stud name! They also had another called Giggles. They were indeed quite odd people but reeeaally reeeaally nice.

I used to work on a yard where an older lady bought a haflinger. She wanted to call it Goldie, short for Golden Shower......we politely had to explain why not.....

On the same yard we had a stallion called Randy, strangely the word means nothing to me now, it's just the name of a horse!!

I find Andy quite amusing.

I say to my friends I'm riding Andy or I'm off to go and ride Andy and they're in hysterics.

I should add that one of our friends is called Andy. :)

My horse has the stupidest name ever - Brightspark Owen! Now, I know it's his breed name, but when a 17+hh horse is scared of a blue bag, its funny! He really is one of the dunce's horses ever haha. But thats why we love him [=

My little pony is called The Domino Effect, changed by me from Domino because my prefix for breaking in is The ... Effect. It was funny when he first started sjing, and would have a few poles down :P
