most disgusting display of horsemanship ever!

no i assure you she is very strange. she wanted a perfect dressge horse but her mindset is very much not trusting vets/officials and buying her supplies from the farmer down the road.

the skin infection got into my horses lymphatic system summer of last year and made her a very poorly pony (temperature 40 degrees C!) very lame and with laboured breathing requring emergancy verterinary attention! and the attitude of the owner and groom!!! 'well we werent sure you wanted a vet out or not so thought we would wait until you came up as vets are a lot of money....' argh!

i have not witnessed either event but the person who told me i have known for a number of years and is best friends with my mother, i have no reason to question her credibility.

as far as i am aware, the RSPCA and WHW (formuarly ILPH) have been informed.

Thats awful. Poor horses.

Hope the WHW can do something.

I dont supose the yard is a BHS reg one is it? Perhaps contact them too?

no i dont think so. but its not the yards fault. the woman with the brightling W horse wouldnt pay £30 a week for field livery, nor the same rate for a stable....she ended up paying £20 a week for barn livery with two metal and not very safe gates across the enterance but kicked up a fuss when told she had to by a rug.

report her to the rspca!!!! nothing else for it..

im sorry you have had to witness such scenes its disgusting what some people do..they shouldnt be allowed to keep horses in the first place. If they can pay all that money for the horse in the first place they can pay for vets bills.

Its also very unfair on you nearly losing your pony, paying a £600 veterinary bill and having to move yards.

ive just been on the phone to my friend, wanting an update, and apparently the young mare went down in the night....it took them a while to get her back up again and she is very unco-ordinated and the owner has given in and is getting the vet out to PTS but only after my friend offered to pay the cost!

what a waste of such a young life

RIP buffy.

Am so sad for that young mare - what a waste of a life. The owner is very lucky I don't know who or where she is, I would be tempted to go there and ram her stupid head through some metal bars and see how she likes it!

ETS: I would then, of course, deny her hospital treatment
