Starting to nerve myself up to take the crazy beast back to another show next weekend. She reared and bronked her way around the warm up of the last one, I know she will get better the more she goes out but I really don't want to get banned from RC for having a lunatic horse in the meantime.

She's on Relax Me and I could double dose her but the picky beast won't eat her feed if I put more than one scoop at a time in it.

I've tried the NAF and Feedmark calmers on D in the past and they didn't help her with her travelling issues.

Whatever you recommend it needs to be industrial strength!

You have my sympathy my mare did same tonight at grid work jump lesson plus I schooled for 20 mins before we started:p
Think its spring grass as magnesium isnt touching mine at moment. She has also had marble inserted and is still flirting with geldings:eek::D

I have used the Carl Hester Pro Mag calmer on mine - It does work but Its not industrial strength! It takes the edge of mine

I tried Oxyshot for the first time last week , I struggled giving him the correct dose and thought he'd spat most of it out as its only 1/3 of the syringe so in the end i gave him the full syringe(only as its more like water and he seemed to spit most of it out) - And it worked! he was so chilled out I was very sceptical and only tried it to see if it did work or not - It may have been a fluke so i'm going to try it again at the weekend and see if it has the same effect !
He is on the Carl Hester Pro Mag calmer powder that you give them daily this realy does seem to do the trick , Ive tried him on Magic but I find it actually alters his temperament and makes him quite daft it realy doesn't seem to agree with him.
Hope you find something that works on yours I was happy as the cheaper one worked best on mine for a change!

She's absolutely fine at home, spring grass doesn't seem to effect her. Just gets very excited at the sight of other horses.

I have the same problem with my horse at the moment and had put this same question in CR yesterday so interesting that I'm not the only one who has a laid back horse at home and a nutty one at shows!!

Will try some of your recommendations. How soon before do you have to give the Oxyshot?
