Someone has made about your horse or riding? When we sold my 15.2hh who, at 12 had had enough of showjumping, I was told that if I really cared about my horse I would bike down to the yard every morning before school (We live 24 miles away) to feed him and turn him out myself, that it was my riding that was responsible for him stopping, and I should try things like parelli/mounted games to give him a break from sjing. I struggled to bite my tongue as I was told that my horse was not difficult, if I wanted to ride a difficult horse I should ride hers for a week, and that it was simply that I was boring my horse.
Then as far as Lenny goes, I had all the, "He's too big, he's too much for you," comments, and then people saying he'd actually proved to be very "trainable" recently... I think it was a compliment?
