Show me your hairy beasts! This is my share horse’s mane. He looks like a lion sometimes - but it does weigh a tonne and it’s quite warm for him on sunny days. But I guess it also protects him from the elements! The best thing about it is that it doesn’t require much care. I’ve only washed it once, because we were off to a show. I pick out bits of sticks and leaves and give it a brush through sometimes, that’s all. Wish I was that blonde! 😁

So we don’t win anything in terms of length but I’ve got to add my salt and peppered boys mane in here! This is an old photo so it’s a bit longer now but essentially his mane is mostly grey now. He’s a standard bay and his tail is mostly black but from the age of 8 his mane started to lighten up. Not sure what funky colour genetics are at play but I love it

That’s so unusual and a lovely combo with his bay body!

Here’s my wee blond haffie Tali. She flicks her forelock at me when she’s impatient with me 😂 shes so funny and I just adore her.
Her mane was pretty white until February and then it got a bit muddy but generally she’s very clean. Her tail badly needs some TLC and will do that when it warms up here 😂
