Screenshot_20200925-081322~2.pngI shared/ loaned this pony with two other friends which was a great way to do it with non horsey parents. This was my first show with her and everyone else was away on holiday so I got to pretend she was all mine for one day. We came last in the show pony class and 5th with a double clear in the show jumping and got to do a lap of honour. She was perfect all day despite reversing into the ring ? and I felt so confident and proud. My whole family came.and they didn't come to many others after this

We only went to one other show as we didn't have transport and she was wild (long story).

Amber being very Amberish at a BE80. She makes an 80cm spread look like it's more or less knee height!

This was at PC90 area champs in 2015. It was the biggest course we’d ever jumped, I felt sick walking the XC. There was also a skinny in the middle of the water complex, we’d never jumped a jump in water and she used to have an issue with skinnies. She flew round double clear on a brilliant dressage, first time she’d ever gone clear inside the time SJ, despite her slightly useless and terrified rider just sitting there like a wet fish. When we crossed the finish XC having gone clear, I was crying, my dad was crying, my trainer was crying...

it had taken 4 years, a lot of literal blood, sweat and tears, and a particularly nasty trainer (who we never went back to) telling a 14yo girl that she should get her horse shot and sent for meat, and get her parents to buy something decent, but I honestly wouldn’t have changed this horse for the world. I’ll never forget the feeling she gave me that day ❤️

(We didn’t get placed because previously mentioned useless rider forgot the XC course and took a rather scenic route round one of the fields, so we got time faults, but I didn’t care about that)

Really going to lower the tone now... ?.
I was 63 with less than a year of lessons, ‘my’ RS horse was 17, it was the uneducated riding the unwilling in Intro B. When we came 3rd the decades fell away and I was teleported back to the 10 year old from a very poor family living the dream I never could have imagined would come true. Riding a pony and a rosette ?

TREC GB championships 2012, Fife Scotland.
Our first time doing level 3 at GBs
This drop on the PTV was massive! I remember thinking don't look down, just don't look down ?
Thrilled we manged it, and topped off by finishing in 2nd place

This photo was taken just before she was tacked up for a HOYS qualifier it is very special to me because she was entered to give her novice rider a go at county showing, she got one of the highest ride marks although being tiny went against her in he conformation marks. She was also a good 8 years oder than the next oldest in the class She finished just out of the top 10 in a class of about 45. My dear friend took the photo
