They are driving me mad and seem to be multiplying! I’ve put lavender in there as apparently they hate the smell but there is still a fair amount of them. I’ve ordered some glue traps but does anybody know a horse friendly spray I can use? I’m very particular with it being where the horse’s feed is stored and also having a horse competing under FEI rules. Thanks 😊

I get this sometimes but only a few and they seem to die off without me doing anything.

Do you have a steam cleaner? If you could completely empty the bin then blast everything with steam that'd kill the eggs.

The moth eggs will be in the sack of feed when you buy it. I sometimes get this with sacks of parrot food.

I have plastic bins and also a metal feed bin. Today I opened my plastic bins and found a bag of pony nuts that was going off that I had forgotten I had leftover from winter so I’ve binned it and scrubbed the bin out - it was full of moth larvae 🤢 and did the same with my other plastic feed bins. Just the metal one left. I’ve never had the problem before - like cobgoblin said, it must have been in a bag of feed that started it off!
