Hello,

So I have a 5year old tb and this year was her 1st winter living out, I didnt clip her, now she is moulting .. but shes moulting in patches .. It looks like shes bald but vet looked at it and just said "thats how she moults" as I was worried something was wrong with her .. Now she looks really moth eaten! So now she has all these patches and in 2 weeks we have our first show .. im not entering her into anything really just a clear round but I dont want to take her looking so moth eaten! Does anyone have any tips to try disguise the "bald" patches.. patches are mainly on her bum .. and the insides of her legs. She is moulting like mad but still has a lot of hair to loose! At the moment its just groom groom groom!!

Thank you in advance!!

i have a native coloured pony who is terrible for moulting and it lasts months! cant really remember the correct name for it but its a grooming stone? it helps get the hair out well. usually they are white or black.

Lincoln Grooming Blocks are good and You'd be surprised at just how quickly the coat comes out once it gets going. I'm sure you horse will be in it's summer coat by the time the show comes around.

Grooming and a good bath are what I recommend to help speed the procedure up.

At the moment ive been going all over her with a rubber curry comb .. and then going over with a shedding blade but its just not coming out! Im thinking these 2 weeks im going to have to try groom like crazy .. although she ends up looking "bald" after :( x
