Dispite the rain - and the warmup being outside

we ventured to Moulton college this morning. I had already decided to jump the smaller classes as i needed to take some of the pressure off and remember how to enjoy myself!!

Got there earlier than planned, had wanted to jump the 80cm and 90cm but as the CR as still going so i decided to jump this first. We did a very quick warmup, just enough to warm the muscles and went in, to jump a lovely clear. She was a bit sticky at a couple of fences but at that height i had the confidence to keep my legs on and she popped them nicely.

Onto the 80cm, again warmed up as quickly as i was able and went in. The course had changed a little but seemed ok and for once it was nice not to be nervous...i couldnt stop thinking how small they looked! She jumped really well, but i got a bit long down the last line and had the first part down of the double, which was the last fence

Was very pleased though as it was a nice flowing round and i had no stops!

I had just untacked Fee when someone told me i should check if i have to jump off as there was only one clear! Turns out they timed the first round and i was the fastest 4 faulter and got second!!!!

Really chuffed (even though i decided to jump the smaller classes ) as i had no stops and even came home with a couple of rosettes. Today definitly gave me the confidence boost i needed. I was so happy i decided to leave it there and come home.

Didnt manage to get any pictures but met Timefaulter at last....although im sure i missed some other HHOers! Thanks for reading!

Great to finally meet you.

Although, if you hadn't been there i would have been second instead of third

Stiill think you should have done the lap of honour on foot!

Hi Fee-Fee,

Well done you! it's brilliant to come away knowing you've ridden well & your horse has gone well, AND you were placed!! Congratulations!

I jibbed out because of the weather! Not just because I'd of got wet! More because I thought it was just that bit too blustery to tow from Leicestershire.

I got both horse, trailer & myself ready to go but all the time I was getting ready I had a big question mark over my head saying should I tow in it or not. I decided not to but by this point I was all dressed up & no where to go!

Hope to meet you at the next one!

I think i might of died if i had to run round on foot, if not from exhaustion, then from embarrassment!!

sadly that was the last one at Moulton until october

However, we do have the area 27 show at Hollowell on the 12th and 13th April.
So who's going there (apart from me)

I had an idea it might of been the last one.

I'd seen the schedule for the Hollowell show so I'll do my best to get there!

I'm planning on heading to hollowell.

Prob because no one would want to compete indoors during the summer. I certainly wouldn't.

I'd compete indoors anytime!

Good news is that they will be holding a few progessive shows next winter as well as intro's.

Ha Ha! You've sussed me!!

It's still a shame that they dont have any shows during the summer months, just one a month will do!!
