Had a lovely day at Mount Ballan. Managed to scrape in as I was 14th on wait list and last to go for the day.
Arrived walked the course thought it ok but might cause me a few problems. Warmed up for dressage and she was going lovely. Went into the ring on my own as everyone else had finished. This was great for me as Charm likes it quiet. She started lovely and I had 7/8's then they started the novice prizegiving and the clapping unsettled her. I had to stop and pat her as she was getting anxious so had some 5's in the middle but finished on 38. I did think it would be worse.
Pegged it back to the lorry quickly got changed and dashed over to sj 5 mins before my allocated time to find the course dismantled
They let me jump one practise fence and they quickly put the course up and I jumped around. (thank god for rescue remedy) Just had number 3 down in front. One of those things I think.
Dashed back and over to XC as they were waiting and set off. Did fences 1,2,3 fine. Came around corner to fence 4 and it totally caught me out coming up very quick (I know Lec you warned me
) Ended up coming on a stupid angle
totally my fault so she stopped. Jumped it 2nd time of asking I pulled myself together and she flew everything else. Gave me an awesome ride
Really nice course.
Lesson learned shame Charm has 20 pen on her record as she didn't deserve it I was a muppet.
Had a cup of tea with HH and CCJ before coming home
Sad it's the end of the season, it's not been a great one for me all in all.
