Mountain and moorland showing

Hello,
I am due to be showing my 14.1 fleabitten grey mare in a mountain and moorland class this Saturday. However I am unsure about her grooming. She currently has her small amount of feathering clipped off and her mane pulled (it is fairly thin naturally.) Will I be penalised for this (baring in mind it is a local, low level show.)

Also as I am 17 should I wear jodhpur boots with no chaps as I am riding a pony? And is a coloured stock or a tie appropriate?

What breed is she? I am guessing Connemara. Long boots on a Large Breed. Tie over stock.

Your pulled mane will be fine as that is the going trend these days! Ideally she should have her feathers but it won't matter at local level. A hogged and trimmed Connie won at a local show a few weekends ago up here.

Oh okay! Thankyou. Also, should I use a flash noseband or a flat noseband?

Preferably flat. If you don't have one then take the flash strap off of your normal one and use that.
