Why do they go from size 5, then 5.5 then 6.5?
Why not 5 6 and 7? I want a size 6 but I guess I cant?!

Because they work in European sizing. 39, 40, 41. So they have converted it to british sizing as accurately as they know how.

no, you're not being stupid, that is how their sizing goes.

i'm a 6 and always go for 39 - 5.5. Not had a problem with the fit so far!

They use european sizes eg 38, 39, 40, etc. Size 6 is a size 39.

The size chart on the mountain horse site doesn't appear to be loading at the mo, but you can find a size chart at http://www.countrysmiths.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=Mountain-Horse-High-Rider-II-Boots (click on size guide) and you'll see size 39 shown with all the measurements.

Yes thats what confused me night_mare, the website I was looking at them on had sizes 5, 5.5 then 6.5 as 37 38 39 , and I wanted a size 6 but it didnt have that on there!!
Not to worry typically I may have changed my mind after trying a different make on today
