Mountain Horse breeches. Are they generous or conservative sizings ?

Does anyone have any Mountain Horse breeches.
I was wondering how their sizings are? Do you have to order smaller or larger than your true size? (EG with Dublin breeches I have to buy a size bigger which is very depressing)

I had some Mountain Horse breeches a while ago, can't remember which ones but they had a full seat. I found them on the generous side - bought my normal size first and had to exchange them. To be fair, when I phoned the mail order co I ordered them from, they said they were generous. Not sure that's entirely helpful though as I find Dublin breeches a bit big, they always seem to gape at the back... sorry!

I find them quite big.

My trousers are 10/12 and a 24" fits me!

I agree Dublin are huge! Didn't keep their shape very well to my mind either.

I bought a pair of Dublins to have spares for competition, they hardly ever get worn so keeping shape Ok... but my shirt won't stay tucked in as the back flaps about! Fit OK on hips but waist too big

Might try putting darts in!

to OP - best bet is probably to find some to try on first if you can!

My MH breeches are a good fit on the hips but much too big in the waist, often tempted to tie them up with baler twine!

They are generous - but I don't mind because I love ordering a size smaller. Cavallry are the same
