Hi,

I'm wanting to buy some Mountain horse High Rider boots mail order. Just wanted to know how people felt about the actual height of them. I feel I'm average size (5'6" and boot size 40) but their boot sizing seems very high (45cm). I know they drop a little bit with wear but I feel I need the 'short' version at 42cm. I've never felt particularly 'short' before.

Any advice?

Thank you.

Hi they do drop quite alot, mine are a little on the short side now ive worn them in. But there fine and soooo confy and also finding them wuite warm in this weather.

Im 5'4 and they did rub the back of my knees a bit until they dropped, also mine come up a little small, im a 5 or a 6, but in these def a 6.

When I had these boots I found the length of them ok, although I found the calf measurements too tight even though I went for the widest fitting.

^^^ This ... and I haven't got particularly wide calves but needed a W fitting, also a 1/2 size smaller than my shoe size.
I had bad luck with mine, zip broke, so they were sent back to MH, got them back and the garter strap snapped off. Worn so little the boot itself looks like new. Gave up after that :(.

I bought 5.5 ex wide, standard height I'm 5'7 with ex wide calves the height and calf width were perfect for me.
To be honest these are the best boots I've ever bought.
6 years old & still going strong. I've had both zips replaced but they are so comfy just like wearing slippers & warm, too. When they finally give up the ghost I'll definately buy another pair.
I had a pair of Mountain Horse Comfort boots that lasted 5 years before they finally fell apart last winter. I've got some Rimfrost high ones too. They're really warm, much better than wellies
