Mountain Horse Rimfrost or High Rider - What's the difference?

The Rimfrost is not a leather boot, it's a winter boot. My sister has a pair and they are great for winter, but too warm for summer. The high Riders look quite nice. I should say that she had them properly fitted in a shop as she's normally a 5, but was a 4 in these and had to get a wide calf, even though she's normally a standard!
 
I can't comment on the Rimfrost, but I have bought the High Rider twice in a row now. They are really comfy, have a fab tread (so don't slip on mud!!) and fit nicely...

However, must admit I am getting a little bored of them now so am going to look for something different when this pair expires!! :D
 
I've just ordered the new High Rider! It's called the Terra Nova and looks very nice! Maybe that's what you could replace your High Riders with!

i agree i have high riders and theyre the best long boot ever!! i dont get bored of them tho...
 
The rimfrost ones aren't made of leather. I had a pair for last year and found them v uncomfortable. They weren't that warm either and because they didn't soften with use I couldn't make them more comfortable by wearing them more. In the end I wore them for a couple of short hacks, took them off straight after as they ripped my heels to shreds - then I sold them on ebay!

Now I have the muck boots you can ride in and they are just the most fantastically warm and comfy boots ever! If you are after something posher for competing in that are warmer than regular boots then the ariat bromonts are good too, though not as warm as the muck boots.

Can't comment on the long boots but I'v got a pair of the rimfrost paddock boots and they're very uncomfy!! Not great for riding in either as they're very chunky so hard to get chaps over them. Had them a few years and they haven't softened up! They're really heavy too! They are warm though but would much rather wear my ariat joddy boots when riding now and freeze than end up with sore feet!!
